Mhairi Morrison started working as a freelance audio describer for film and TV in 2005 for ITFC in London. From 2005-2009 she wrote and voiced the audio description for a variety of TV shows. Credits include: “Dora the Explorer,” “Scooby Doo,” “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse,” “Charmed,” “Poirot,” “CSI: Las Vegas,” “Monk,” “Gossip Girl,” and “Gladiators.” Feature film credits include “Happy Feet,” “Factory Girl,” and “Baby Mama.”
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2009 she has worked as a freelance audio describer for Audio Description Solutions, where she has described a wide variety of films for the National Park Service. Credits include: Tuskegee Airmen, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Kings Canyon National Park, Mammoth Caves, and Padre Island. For X Tracks and Fox television, she has described “Hell’s Kitchen” (seasons 11-16), “Master Chef” (seasons 4-6), “Master Chef Junior” (seasons 1-3), “Dream Date,” and “Home Free” (2 seasons).
She is passionate about delivering the best possible description and to that end has run focus groups in Junior Blind America.
